Vice President of Business Development, Drug Discovery

Essential Duties:

• In partnership with HTG Executive leadership, provides leadership for the partnering and licensing strategy with Biopharma for HTG drug candidates as well as other technologies (transcriptomic profile, drug discovery platform technology).
• Contributes to the Therapeutics Business Unit to establish our disease area focus, based on current and evolving competitive landscape and business opportunities.
• Leads potential inlicensing initiatives that support the technology development or product development pipelines.
• Develops and maintains a network with peer positions in Pharma and Biotech – liaising with business development leads as well as those responsible for external science and innovation and due diligence assessments.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ph.D in Life Sciences (e.g. Cell/Molecular Biology, Molecular Genetics, Pharmacology or related discipline)
• Minimum 10 years drug discovery and early development
• Minimum 5 years in new business development – deal sheet preferred
• Experience with external innovation or due diligence exercises preferred.Proven collaborator across functions,  project management experience
• Some experience dealing with potential investors
• Excellent KOL and market understanding
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience in drug discovery, development and/or external science and innovation, due diligence etc.
• Excellent project leadership skills
• Team player, values driven
• Good conflict management skills
• Strong strategic agility and acumen
